How Yoga Can Wreck Your Body, a piece by William J. Broad in the New York Times, questions the assumption that yoga is a (borderline) miraculous way to heal soul and body. It’s fascinating, especially since I’m always flirting with the idea of studying yoga more seriously. Must read for all the yogis out there – and the people who love stories that feature an unpopular stance.
That being said, went to Toronto’s iam yoga for a core (sore?) class yesterday. Oh wow, oh wow. Beautiful studio, lovely instructor, buckets of sweat. Will be back, but will keep the article’s idea of moderation in mind.
In completely different news, my latest Toronto Star story. May the bun be with you. **It is not a joke**

I’ve yet to hear anything negative about yoga; I would definitely be interested in reading more about some of the setbacks of doing it. I’m looking forward to reading more and sharing:))
